Aerotek Turbine Engine Technician-MOS 15B-Oregon Worksite in Seattle, Washington

Aerotek on behalf of it's client is seeking A&P mechanics in a Turbine Engine shop overhauling helicopter engines. MOS 15 B encouraged to apply. Pay details:

Local: 28 to 32

Non-local: 19.25 taxed plus 166/day per diem up to 5 days (40 total compensation)

Description:

  • Working in a bench repair and testing environment, technician will disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, test, and certify systems and related units for heavy-lift helicopters.

  • Technician will read and interprets maintenance manuals, clean and inspect engines, engine components and component parts for damage and wear using visual examination and special tooling and equipment.

  • Replace or repair damaged and worn engine parts and component parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools and precision measuring equipment, reassemble, performs tests and/or checks as required to confirm engine or engine component serviceability.

  • Document all inspection findings and work performed/corrective action in the appropriate maintenance records.

  • 5 x 8 schedule for several weeks to start (8am - 4:30pm), then will move to a 4 x 10 schedule (6am - 4:30pm), either Mon-Thurs or Tues-Fri

Experience in servicing and repair of helicopter turbine engines and related systems

Military or commercial turbine engine maintenance and/or component maintenance training preferred (Army MOS 15B)
