Parametrix Transportation Safety Engineer in Seattle, Washington

Parametrix is seeking a Transportation Safety Engineer to join our Greater Washington team in support of upcoming project work. This position will be based out of the Puget Sound and have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, coming into the office for project and client collaboration. This position will support a mix of project delivery, project management and business development. We have established relationships with local clients and a strong backlog of safety-related project work. Who You Are: Technically Focused: We are looking for a Traffic/Transportation Engineer who is interested in and has previous experience with highway safety manual implementation, crash data analysis and manipulation, multimodal safety analysis, field safety investigations, and identification of safety solutions. This position will apply software tools, such as ISATe, IHSDM, Microsoft Excel, and GIS. The successful candidate should have the ability to work with large or complex data sets, develop strategies to analyze safety systems, and effectively summarize and communicate data, analysis processes, and results. Dedicated: You have your bachelor's or master's degree in civil or transportation engineering, your Professional Engineering license and 7+ years of demonstrated ability in the transportation and/or traffic engineering field. In additional to furthering your technical skills, you are looking to assume more project management responsibilities and take a lead role in interfacing with clients. Relationship Focused: Proactive communication and excellent writing skills will serve you well as you prepare reports, and technical memoranda. A strong ability to team and coordinate effectively while embodying a stellar client service ethic. Collaborator: Our existing team is versatile and can provide crucial support. Strong team alignment and the ability to successfully integrate and collaborate within the transportation group and across the company is a key to success at Parametrix. Base salary for this position is in the range of $95,000-$120,000+ Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, location, and role. For all positions we conduct an equity review.
