Aston Carter Transportation Analyst in Seattle, Washington

A reputable retailer company located in Downtown Seattle is currently hiring for a skilled Transportation Analyst for a 3 month contact to help with Seasonal Ramp. This role is hybrid 3 days a week onsite (Tuesday - Thursday) and Monday and Friday remote. The ideal candidate is comfortable with using (or learning to use) Transportation Management System (TMS) software to execute shipments, manage exceptions, communicate with stakeholders, and pull meaning from data. The team desires someone who is motivated, results-oriented, committed to providing outstanding customer service, and is interested in learning more about the movement of goods in a retail environment. This position is primarily responsible for booking freight (truckload, intermodal, less than truckload) from the US-based suppliers into the company's distribution and fulfillment centers (DCs and FCs) and ensuring this freight delivers on time and in full.

Pay: $30/hr. - $33/hr.

Location: Downtown Seattle, WA (Tuesday - Thursday Onsite / Monday & Friday Remote)

Shift: Standard Morning Shift

3 Month Contract

(Key responsibilities)

• Plan and execute booking of inbound shipments in the TMS.

• Monitor freight movement to ensure deliveries are on time and in full.

• Partner with stakeholders within the supplier community, carrier network, distribution centers, and merchandising to maintain flow of goods.

• Work closely with other members of the Domestic First Mile Transportation team to maximize operational efficiencies and cost savings.

(Job Requirements)

Must reside in WA as this role is Onsite in Downtown Seattle, WA (No Relocation Offered, any applicants out of state will not be considered for this role at this time)

  • 2-3 years of experience working with vendors/carriers and working with the flow of good from distribution center to actual stores.

  • Industry experience in shipping and logistics company highly preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • ERP system experience.

  • GoCloud Transportation System experience is highly considered but not required. Any other similar Transportation Systems experience is highly considered.

  • Strong Outlook and Excel experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
