The opportunity

Our clients are seeking a new type of transformation expert – one who provides strategic guidance but is also deeply embedded in the delivery and success of their programs. Traditional suppliers, such as strategy houses, systems integrators, and engineering project management consultants cannot provide the complete service our clients now demand.

program management. We also offer services that focus on 'bridging the gap' between Execution and Strategy primarily by designing and implementing frameworks and solutions that allow companies to make data-driven decisions to optimize and manage portfolios and programs/projects. Your key responsibilities

A successful Chemicals & Advanced Materials Senior Manager will work with our clients to design, mobilize and manage programs by applying proven frameworks and methodologies based on industry recognized global standards. You will team with engagement leadership to design, establish and operate day to day program and governance structures tracking performance, status and benefit realization across fields of play and program workstreams. You will demonstrate knowledge of and experience in planning, controlling and executing complex programs that span at least two competencies.

  • Cultivate and manage business development opportunities. Understand EY and its service lines and fields-of-play and actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree

  • About 8-10 years of experience in pulp, paper and packaging in operations and/or commercial roles

  • Approximately 8+ years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 4-5 years of related work experience providing consulting services internally or externally in leading the transformations involving more than two fields of play (e.g. supply chain and commercial) and/or requiring both business and technology consulting

  • Program Management experience in at least two of the following areas: PMO/TMO design, mobilization and execution; program road-mapping, end-to end ERP implementation, or multi-function or multi-process transformation program

  • Proven success in leading and developing a team of manager/senior/staff consulting professionals

  • Experience supporting and participating in pursuit efforts. Experience with the end-to-end RFP process (RFP, Response, Proposal, Client Presentation, SOW and Execution) and understanding of client procurement processes

  • History of driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects at the "C" level of Fortune 500 companies

  • Multiple engagements in which individual revenue managed was above 10 million dollars

  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills

  • A valid driver's license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness to travel to meet client needs and ability to travel internationally.

Ideally you'll also have

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree with an emphasis in Computer Systems, Engineering, Economics and/or Business. CPA, PMP, Six Sigma and/or Certified SAP Solution Manager
