Basic Job Functions: Nucor Seattle is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Torch Operator. The successful candidate will work rotating shifts in an environment with high heat exposure. The Torch Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of the auto torch and weighing systems, traceability of the billet and ensuring a quality product. Scheduled and unscheduled overtime will be required, including nights, weekends and holidays.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
