Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Terminal Attendant to join our team in Seattle, WA. As a Terminal Attendant, you will be responsible for the professional completion of all production related activities at the cement terminal.

What You'll Get to Do:

• Participate in company health and safety program and adhere to all policies and procedures

• Load bulk cement tanker trucks

• Offload cement barges

• Maintenance of all terminal fixtures and assets

• Treat all drivers, customers, coworkers, contractors, and visitors with dignity and respect

Essential Experience and Skills:

• Completion of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Effective communications and ability to work as a productive team member

• Fundamental record keeping and computer skills required

• Desire to work cooperatively as part of a productive team

• Ability to work safely, and independently without constant supervision and be a team player

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Capable of learning through on-the-job training

• Good attendance and punctuality a must.

• Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift (up to 75 lbs.), sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain

• Must be able to work flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, weekends, and nights may be required.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Valid forklift operators ticket preferred

• Preference will be given to applicants with a mechanical background

What We Have to Offer:

• $34.55 - $34.55 / hour

• Union paid vacation 40 hours (5 days) per year and paid sick 40 hours per year.

• Union paid holidays seven

Conditions of Employment:

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Work Environment:

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
