Technician I - Networking position will provide efficient and high-quality installations related to integrated security systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing startup, installation, closeout and service of jobs; assisting in design and other tasks as assigned while delivering on Paladin Technologies commitments. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Install and service cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio Visual and CCTV; includes pre-wiring, installation, termination, labeling, testing and reporting per specifications and drawings Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally Adhere to Paladin's Quality and Safety programs Complete detailed and accurate documentation, including OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as-builts, test results Consistently provide high levels of customer service Maintain a high level of professionalism Travel and overtime may be requested with this position on an ad hoc basis Perform additional duties as required REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience pulling, terminating, and testing cat5/6 cables Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, electronics, or equivalent is considered an asset Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction sites to finished corporate offices Comfortable working at heights Must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds Valid Driver's License with clean abstract and no restrictions Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail Must be bondable and able to pass a background check Strong problem-solving skills Physical Demands: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work on job sites, may be required to travel to and from job site locations, may work in a typical office environment, and is occasionally exposed to construction equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Confined space entry may be required. High work may be required.
