Technical writers play a big part at Jack Henry and are a key link between operations, development, education, and external users. As a technical writer, you will research and test software, determine features that need documentation, and translate technical information into task-oriented guides for our users and Jack Henry staff. Jack Henry provides a strong opportunity for career progression not only within Enterprise Content Services but across the organization. This position will pay a salary of \$66,000-\$76,000 based on experience and location. What you\'ll be responsible for: Researches and translates technical information into manuals and web-based documents for both non-technical and technical users. Identifies user needs and works with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve issues relating to documentation. Writes, publishes, and maintains help content and release documentation. Collaborates with developers, product managers, quality assurance staff, and UX designers in an agile development environment. Manages the production and publishing of documentation. May perform other job duties as assigned. What you\'ll need to have: Minimum of 4 years of professional writing experience in a role such as Technical Writer, Technical Editor, Technical Communicator, Content Developer, or Web Content Writer. Must have 2 years of experience in project management of a documentation set with any combination of help systems, user manuals, release documents, or feature documents. Ability to travel up to 5% to attend Jack Henry meetings, trainings, or professional conferences. What would be nice for you to have: Experience with structured authoring techniques in DITA or other markup languages. Experience in content management systems or help tools (e.g. SDL Tridion Docs, Zoomin, XDocs, etc.). Experience working with software development teams as part of the software development life cycle process. Experience writing for FinTech.
