Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer II to join our Tools and Content Strategy team within IT Services. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in elevating our content quality, maintaining documentation standards, and driving data-driven improvements in our self-service content ecosystem.
Key job responsibilities
Support and manage the Bar Raiser program for self-service content
Conduct regular audits of existing content to ensure adherence to quality standards
Develop and deliver training programs to improve content creation skills leading with automation
Maintain and update supporting documentation for content creation best practices
Monitor and analyze content-specific metrics and KPIs
Assess content accuracy and implement strategies for continuous improvement
Prepare regular reports on content performance and present insights to stakeholders
Contribute to core content development for launches and updates
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms
Participate in the development and implementation of content strategies to enhance user experience
Identify opportunities for content optimization and innovation

Basic Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a technology or IT environment
Strong writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail
Experience with content management systems and documentation tools
Familiarity with data analysis and reporting
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with IT service management or support documentation
Knowledge of Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) methodologies
Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation and management tools
Experience in managing content testing

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
