Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Writer II to join our Tools and Content Strategy team within IT Services. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in elevating our content quality, maintaining documentation standards, and driving data-driven improvements in our self-service content ecosystem.

Key job responsibilities

• Support and manage the Bar Raiser program for self-service content

• Conduct regular audits of existing content to ensure adherence to quality standards

• Develop and deliver training programs to improve content creation skills leading with automation

• Maintain and update supporting documentation for content creation best practices

• Monitor and analyze content-specific metrics and KPIs

• Assess content accuracy and implement strategies for continuous improvement

• Prepare regular reports on content performance and present insights to stakeholders

• Contribute to core content development for launches and updates

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms

• Participate in the development and implementation of content strategies to enhance user experience

• Identify opportunities for content optimization and innovation

Basic Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a technology or IT environment

• Strong writing and editing skills with meticulous attention to detail

• Experience with content management systems and documentation tools

• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting

• Excellent project management and organizational skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IT service management or support documentation

• Knowledge of Knowledge-Centered Service (KCS) methodologies

• Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation and management tools

• Experience in managing content testing

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
