WORK SCHEDULE

  • 100% FTE – 40 hours per week

  • Day Shift – UW MEDICINE ITS SERVICES CORE HOURS ARE 07:00 – 16:00 (PST), Monday-Friday DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW Medicine IT Services (ITS) is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission.

  • Independently guiding small-medium level, complex projects for the Enterprise Technology Services and Architecture (ETS) team

  • Supporting major enterprise IT projects, interacting with and supporting the PMO Project Managers leading the projects

  • Recommending improvements to communications, reporting, use of common project tools, processes and methodologies, and standards between ETS teams and the PMO

  • Using technical knowledge and expertise to analyze and compile technical requirements for assigned projects

  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation relevant to the team's supported systems, processes, and ongoing support activities REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience

  • 4+ years of experience must include:

  • 4+ years’ project management experience

  • 4+ years’ experience planning, coordinating, executing, and managing technical activities

  • 4+ years hands-on technical experience with Windows and UNIX (preferably IBM AIX or Linux) systems

  • Demonstrated experience guiding standard projects for database technologies, preferably Oracle and SQL desired

  • Demonstrated experience working with complex systems providing critical business functions for small to medium projects
