Come join a creative and innovative Security Assurance team that drives exceptional security for customers and provides cutting edge technology solutions. Amazon Web Services (AWS) business is rapidly expanding its global presence and we are looking for a highly motivated Security Assurance Program Manager to help lead our Security Assurance, Security Controls Orchestration team. As part of the AWS Security Assurance team, this role will build the bridges between security, technology and compliance by working directly with our AWS service teams, infrastructure teams, security teams, and related Amazon corporate teams. This candidate should be a technically experienced and an innovative security/compliance professional who has the ability to dive deep into a variety of complex architectures, understand IT processes, and map product offerings to existing and emerging compliance standards. The role will help drive and scale security compliance through innovative process changes across multiple organizations and teams.

Key job responsibilities

A Technical Program Manager on our team will often find themselves:

  • Conversing with our service teams about architecture, security, and compliance.

  • Assessing our services and features against a control frameworks

  • Developing and peer reviewing deliverables for audits

  • Driving or assisting with projects to improve our team and our company

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 2+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
