Google Technical Program Manager III, Security, Trust and Safety in Seattle, Washington

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience with security analysis in one or more of the following: counter abuse, threat modeling, incident/emergency response, vulnerability management, penetration testing, or cryptographic concepts.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

  • Experience working with external parties or in a publicly-facing role.

  • Experience supporting programs with a large number partner teams or executive interest.

  • Experience working in bug bounties.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing Vulnerability Rewards Program (VRP) reports, interacting with researchers and product teams, deciding on rewards for reporters, and managing coordinated disclosure of vulnerabilities. As a Technical Program Manager on this team, you will drive operational excellence within the VRP, ensuring efficient processes, clear communication, and effective collaboration across technology and strategy and the VRP community. You will also be navigating the evolving landscape of generative AI vulnerabilities, developing strategies and solutions to mitigate risks and ensure the responsible development of Gen AI technologies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration between security researchers and product teams, translating technical findings into actionable insights for remediation.

  • Develop a structured road-map for the Abuse VRP program, outlining milestones, timelines, and key deliverables for each phase of the program.

  • Support Abuse VRP ICs in managing requests for process updates and improvements to the Abuse VRP program operations.

  • Maintain and update standard operating procedures and playbooks to ensure consistent and efficient handling of vulnerability reports and escalations by the team.

  • Work with product, engineering, technology and strategy, and legal/compliance teams to ensure vulnerabilities are prioritized, and addressed promptly.
