As a Technical Program Manager, you will play a key role within our Communications Platform team, driving large projects that span the organization and are cross functional. Our team is comprised of varying levels of experience and backgrounds, from new grads to industry veterans. Relevant experience is important, but ultimately less so than your demonstrated abilities and attitude. Facebook's infrastructure is constantly redefining what is possible, and we need Technical Program Managers that can do the same.

Required Skills:

  1. Understand the technical aspects of the promotion systems (creation, scheduling, ranking, rendering, delivery)

  2. Familiar with various promotion channels (banner, in-feed, notifications, bookmark, email)

  3. Lead the adoption of the new platform features and guidelines across all customers

  4. Drive stability, latency, and scalability initiatives across the systems, including capacity planning and performance optimizations

  5. Own incident resolution and prevention for the team

  6. Develop and manage end-to-end project plans, including day-to-day coordination, execution and ensure on-time delivery

  7. Interface with Engineering and business owners for project requirements and scope

  8. Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases

  9. Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. in a Computer Science or equivalent experience

  2. 7+ years of Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Program/Product Management, or similar experience

  3. Experience in backend reliability, efficiency, quality and/or performance work

  4. Communication skills and experience working with technical management teams

  5. Organizational and coordination skills along with multi-tasking capabilities to get things done in a fast paced environment

  6. Analytical and problem-solving skills, exposure to large-scale systems and some experience writing code/queries

  7. Communication skills whether it is with peers, teams and leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in building Notification, Marketing Promotions platforms at scale

  2. Experience in building and operationalizing Omni-Channel platforms with delivery of messaging across Email, SMS, Push channels at scale

  3. Experience in driving, adoption, onboarding of customers onto an omni-channel marketing, communication platform

  4. Experience with running large, cross-functional technical programs involving multiple organization wide teams
