Description

Robert Half is seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Product Manager – Integration Services to lead the definition, design, and delivery of our API, event-driven, and real-time data integration products. This role will be responsible for driving product direction, defining acceptance criteria, and partnering with engineering teams to deliver future-proof, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in managing complex system integrations, event-driven architectures, and creating user-focused API contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Definition & Value:

  • Provide technical consultation to stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.

  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of API and event documentation.

  • Define and document non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, resilience, security, and business continuity.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to ensure alignment on product solutions.

  • Represent the customer experience in engineering decisions.

  • Develop clear acceptance criteria to meet customer, business, and technical goals.

  • Lead backlog prioritization to align with the product roadmap and strategy.

  • Stay up to date on industry best practices, especially regarding real-time APIs and event hubs, while solving complex technical problems.

Analysis & Metrics:

  • Analyze product data to support decisions and apply key learnings to future development.

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product health, feature performance, and customer satisfaction.

  • Continuously identify opportunities for performance improvements.

  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving product performance and customer outcomes.

Leadership & Communication:

  • Partner with engineering teams to define technical requirements and solution architecture.

  • Maintain strong relationships with engineering and business stakeholders to communicate technical options and implications.

  • Eliminate ambiguity in feature goals and criteria, ensuring alignment across teams.

  • Present recommendations clearly and persuasively to drive stakeholder decisions.

  • Effectively influence and negotiate with internal teams, business partners, and third-party vendors to resolve issues and align on product strategy.

Product Planning & Delivery:

  • Identify and document technical tradeoffs, dependencies, and constraints.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to validate feature development against goals and support user acceptance testing.

  • Facilitate the resolution of blocking issues during development and testing, including troubleshooting data integration problems.

  • Lead feature sizing and delivery planning with cross-functional teams, utilizing agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro.

  • Ensure successful delivery and iterative development of features in alignment with business priorities.

    Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, enterprise services, or ownership of system integrations and APIs.

  • Proven track record in defining product features, metrics, and driving feature performance using data.

  • Expertise in designing scalable and maintainable solutions that address future use cases.

  • Skilled at writing clear user stories and acceptance criteria that drive technical development aligned with customer needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Technology Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of event-driven architectures, synchronous and batch structures, and integration patterns.

  • Proven experience creating and documenting event, REST API, and batch contracts.

  • Expertise in master data management principles and establishing operational/analytical data hubs.

  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Suite, and sprint planning.

  • Strong problem-solving skills in debugging integration errors and troubleshooting issues during development and testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with high-transaction volume systems and enterprise-class software solutions.

  • Familiarity with data services like events, APIs, and master data management systems.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence outcomes and align stakeholders.
