Job Information
Amazon Technical Business Development Manager, AWS Cloud Institute in Seattle, Washington
Description
AWS Cloud Institute is hiring for an innovative and savvy Technical Business Development Manager to work with AWS business customers and partners. This position directly contributes to transforming a growing start-up into a mature business. You will get to help thousands of people make a career switch into a cloud job through the skills they develop in the AWS Cloud Institute.
You'll work with AWS business customers, partners, and workforce development organizations to connect developing cloud skills to employment. Success in the role is measured on increasing learner enrollment, raising retention and increasing employment outcomes for our graduates. A successful candidate will need to have a strong bias for action, be right a lot, and take ownership leading and connecting resources in and across AWS - often in in ambiguous conditions.
Key job responsibilities
This role requires experience and comfort engaging at the Director-level and above with enterprise business customers, Public Sector organizations, human resource and job funding programs, and of course a wide range of internal AWS stakeholders. The right candidate is an experienced self-starter who leads through innovation, moves decisively during ambiguity, and is not constrained by the status quo. The candidate we hire dives deep, makes calculated bets (sometimes without sufficient data), and develops and documents best practices that connect our graduates to a cloud career.
A day in the life
Engaging directly with AWS external customers and partners is a daily activity. You will be asked to represent the voice of the employer and the job-seeker, ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of how we develop and deliver our program. You'll be required to manage our program deliverables within budgetary, resource and scheduling requirements, and meet defined project milestones and deadlines. You'll do all of this while thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, surrounded by smart, motivated people who are passionate about helping our program graduates start their cloud careers.
