The University of Washington Medical Center, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is looking for a full-time Teaching Associate/Advanced Practice Provider (CNM, ARNP, or PA-C) for the Center for Reproductive Health and Fertility in the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.

  • Our providers also partner with general gynecology, medical genetics, pediatrics, and medical endocrinology to treat patients with anatomic issues and endocrine disorders that disrupt gonadal function. They also work with local oncologists at Fred Hutch, Seattle Children’s Hospital, and other UW affiliate institutions to assist with the management of female reproductive function and family planning in the context of a cancer diagnosis and the need for transplant services.

  • This is a full-time, 12 month (July 1 - June 30) academic position with faculty rank as Teaching Associate in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology on a yearly appointment with an anticipated start date of May 1, 2025.

  • The base salary range for this position will be: $10,000 - $13,667 per month ($120,000 - $164,004 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES A University of Washington Medical Center CNM/ARNP/PA-C is a certified nurse midwife, certified physician assistant or advanced registered nurse practitioner who provides evaluation and medical management to Reproductive Endocrinology patients at the University of Washington Medical Center. They work to evaluate and treat fertility concerns and other non-fertility reproductive endocrine health issues. They work collaboratively with the treatment team to coordinate the care of their patients. All clinical responsibilities are performed within the scope of practice, institutional privileges and under the supervision or guidance of an attending physician as appropriate to licensure.

  • Perform new patient evaluations, history, and physical exams

  • Evaluate and treat common reproductive endocrine disorders and gynecologic issues as patient needs arise including menopause care.

  • Teach and support nursing and medical assistant staff

  • Evaluate and manages plans for treatments including oral ovulation induction and intrauterine insemination cycles

  • Perform transvaginal and transabdominal pelvic ultrasound for purposes of gynecologic evaluation and follicular monitoring

  • Assist in managing early pregnancy concerns

  • Assist with saline infusion sonography and perform hysterosalpingography

  • Perform intrauterine insemination (IUI)

  • Document patient care data in accordance with the UWP policies

  • Perform procedures according to licensure, credentialing, and scope of practice

  • Collaborate and consult with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and timely treatment and continuity of care.

  • Take responsibility for FDA screening and testing regulations and following ASRM guidelines for third-party reproduction

  • Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS

  • Current and valid state Registered Nurse Licensure for ARNP, Certified Nurse Midwife or Physician Assistant Licensure.

  • Graduate Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program, accredited PA program or accredited CNM program and licensure as an ARNP, PA-C or CNM.

  • Nationally certified CNM/ARNP/PA-C with DEA.

  • Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment.

  • Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in patient care.

  • Previous APP experience of at least 1-2 years necessary.

  • Prior experience in Women’s Health highly desired.All candidates must be eligible for and able to maintain a Washington State medical license. The University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research, and service.
