We are the Omni-Channel Customer Analytics and Modeling (OCCAM) team, and we serve Cross-Channel, Cross-Category Marketing.About UsThe OCCAM team does three things. 1) We identify trends in customer behavior using analytical and Data Science techniques. 2) We design automated reporting using AWS technologies and scalable Business Intelligence tools. And 3) we create data products like customer segments and propensity models. We invent in undefined spaces in customer behavior. You have experience in taxonomy, metadata management, data modeling, machine learning or a desire to learn more about these subjects. You put the customer first in your thinking. You have great judgment and communication skills, and a history of delivering results.Your Responsibilities* Partner with global marketing, data, and engineering teams to define data models, business problems, and/or requirements for taxonomies in various sub-domains of marketing* Identify and normalize data sources. In some case, participate in designing new data collection processes, or implementing process simplifications* Refine data analysis methodologies* Work on difficult data models with stakeholders or potential users of the system to clarify requirements, implement the taxonomy, mitigate risks, and overcome roadblocks* Analyze website metrics, marketing metrics, and customer behavior data to make decisions on optimizing our taxonomy models* Deliver independently, with some guidance from leadershipBasic Qualifications* Master's Degree in Library Science, Information Science, Linguistics, or related field or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree with 1 extra year of relevant experience* 3+ years of experience in taxonomy development* Experience delivering results within a cross-functional, global team* Excellent English written and verbal communication skills* Experience managing a roadmap of concurrent projectsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
