Amazon Tax Program Manager, R&D Tax Credit in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Amazon R&D Tax Credit team is looking for an experienced, customer obsessed Program Manager who is able to communicate effectively with technical teams to aide in the claiming of R&D tax credits as well as other incentives. This role will require collaboration with a wide spectrum of technical teams within Amazon to help tax understand and document new and innovative technologies. This role will be a good fit for someone that is interested in diving in and understanding the wide array of technologies being developed at Amazon. In addition to learning what other technology teams at Amazon are working on, this role will also provide opportunities for the candidate to develop new technologies used within the R&D tax team to help with data gathering, data processing and R&D calculations.

Key job responsibilities

  • Assist in discussions with software engineers to help facilitate the documentation of R&D Credits

  • Review prepared documentation for accuracy with details given during interviews

  • Develop requirements for new technology solutions to help aide in the R&D credit process

  • Partner with other Amazon groups as necessary to implement new technology solutions

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
