Opportunity - We currently have an opening for an Income Tax Manager at our Seattle, Washington headquarters office. You will be a key contributor that supports tax compliance, planning and financial reporting. Your role will report to a tax director and will be accountable for REIT tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax research, audit support and quarterly tax provision support. You will also provide key analysis and recommendations to leaders and decision makers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review and provide subject matter expertise for REIT income tax returns, tests, and projects.
  • Manage transfer pricing including analysis and review.
  • Research, communicate and implement federal income tax law changes into tax filings.
  • Assist with federal, state and international tax projects.
  • Communicate tax issues and research conclusions effectively.
  • Support Payroll and HR on employee benefit tax policies and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with business partners across the company.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, MS in Taxation is highly preferred.

  • Certifications: Certified Public Accountant preferred.
  • Experience: 7-10 years combined public accounting and/or large multi-national corporation experience. Some public accounting experience is highly preferred. Evidenced experience in tax research for federal and state income taxes. REIT experience is beneficial.

What we offer:

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $114,000 - $171,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications, and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 20% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Benefits: Employees can enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with paid vacation for up to 3 weeks to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 hours along with paid parental leave for all full-time employees.

Flexible Work Policy: Seattle Headquarters allows you to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
