This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-liftorbital launch vehicle capable ofroutinelycarrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar,and beyond.Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designedfrom the beginningto be human-capable. As part of the passionate New Glenn Program Office, you will work at the intersection of program management, engineering, and production to ensure NG meets it's cost objectives and risks are identified and mitigated. We are seeking a self-motivated and highly organized individual who can work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to successfully implement cost reduction projects, working with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams under the guidance of experienced system and cost engineering leads. Responsibilities: Gather cost reduction opportunities, ensure proper vetting and business case impact for prioritization Shepard projects from idea to implementation, ensuring timely incorporation of improvements following configuration management process Act as cost reduction advocate across NG teams Provide guidance on opportunity process, seeking improvements and automation in process execution Assist tenured team members with risk mitigation projects Generate metrics and visuals to communicate progress towards NG objectives Develop understanding how technology and automation can be leveraged across NG development, production, and operation. Drive improvements with responsible stakeholders Minimum Qualifications: Passion for Blue Origin's mission: Millions of people living and working in space! B.S. degree in engineering or B.S./B.A. in other technical field 3-5 years of experience in design, development, integration, or testing - preferably with aerospace hardware or complex technical systems Possess high attention to detail and strong organizational/coordination skills Demonstrated ability building trusting and effective working relationships that improve team performance and deliver results Experience working collaboratively in small teams on fast-paced projects Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Up to 25% travel will be required to coordinate with design/test/manufacturing teams Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of configuration management principles and practices Experience in development of launch vehicles Experience with structures, mechanical systems, cryogenic fluids, and avionics systems in a design and/or manufacturing environment.
