Supervisor Clinical Intake and CorrespondenceThe position can be located in any of our four Cambia states - OR, WA, ID or UTThe Supervisor Clinical Intake and Correspondence supervises and acts as a resource for non-clinical staff. Coordinates activities that support business objectives related to Utilization Management, Case management, Disease Management. Ensures quality and timely requirements are met in accordance with accrediting agency requirements, contract requirements, and state and federal regulations.Responsibilities* Supervises individuals and teams to ensure work is completed in a timely manner, in accordance with department standards and procedures, and is in compliance with performance guarantees and with all state, federal and accreditation standards and regulations.* Provides regular updates and communication to staff through 1:1 and team meetings.* Analyzes data of work performed by individuals, team and other teams and develops action plans based on the data.* Develops, establish and implement goals, department processes, productivity and quality standards which ensure coordination of activities to meet department policies and procedures, performance guarantees and all state, federal and accreditation standards and regulations. Also participates in department planning as well as budget development.* Manages the hiring process for staff, provides on-going coaching, employee development, performance improvement and writing of performance reviews. Is responsible for desk reference guides and training materials. Ensures new hires complete necessary training. Assesses training needs and plays an active role in development of staff.* Serves as a role model, mentor and resource for staff members.* Appropriately escalates issues and partners with other departments to resolve issues and remove barriers.* Collaborates with physician advisors and other clinical staff on issues to ensure appropriate determinations, as needed.* Seeks ideas and opportunities for continuous improvement, determines which opportunities should be pursued and implements improvements as appropriate.* May help prepare reports and participate in presentations for the client and corporate meetings.* Represent unit and division as member of corporate-wide, cross functional teams and work groups.* Manages change effectively and professionally.* May respond in writing or telephonically to members, providers, and regulatory organizations in a professional and diplomatic manner while protecting confidentiality of sensitive documents and issues.* Responsible for the creation and maintenance of client specific letters and processes, as needed.* Completes special projects as assigned and may provide back-up support to staff as needed.Minimum Requirements* Ability to listen and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with internal staff and with members, employer or provider groups.* Ability to effectively develop, lead, and manage teams that work in multiple locations and via telecommuting technology.* Familiarity with health insurance industry trends and technology.* Demonstrated analytical skills, ability to use data to identify problems, trends; develop solutions and implement a course of action.* Demonstrated competency in setting priorities for a team and overseeing work outputs and timelines.* Demonstrated experience in recognizing problems and effectively resolving complex issues.* Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, i.e. Word, Excel and experience using healthcare systems.* Knowledge of applicable State and Federal regulations and mandates.* Knowledge of medical terminologyNormally to be proficient in the competencies listed aboveSupervisor Clinical Intak
