Blue Origin LLC Summer 2025 Technician Internship - WA in Seattle, Washington
Application close date: 03/8/2025 This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Interns work directly with our experienced Technicians and Engineers in support of our business units New Shepard, New Glenn, Blue Engines, Lunar Transportation, and Space Systems Development. This internship will last 12 weeks (May-August or June-September) and is full time (40 hours) and onsite. Technician Intern students can support an array of teams, including but not limited to: Machinists, Harness Technicians, CPV Technicians, Machine Operators, and Integration Engineers. We are looking for someone to apply their technical knowledge, development mindset, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required! Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be over 18 Candidates must be actively enrolled in a program at a 2-year institution or graduated from their program within the last 3 months. Candidates must have completed at least 1 full term of their academic program prior to start date. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Preferred Qualifications General competency with hand tools, machinery, and general manufacturing practices General understanding of what an engineering drawing (blueprint) is and its function Basic computer skills (browsers, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office suite, etc.) Introduction to industrial safety (OSHA, etc.) Attending a school local to the manufacturing site Hands-on project experience.
