SOUND TRANSIT Strategic Advisor-PSO Initiatives - $105K-$165K - STRAT002052 in SEATTLE, Washington

Salary Range: $105,000.00 to $165,000.00 GENERAL PURPOSE:Under general direction from the Deputy Executive Director of Portfolio Management & Integrity, the Special Projects Advisor is responsible for ensuring that critical PSO responsibilities are resourced and implemented. Initially, the key responsibilities will focus on implementing the Board’s realignment resolution (R2021-05), including collaborating with staff from Finance, Government & Community Relations, PEPD, DECM, and the CEO’s office to develop and manage the work plan. Qualified applicants will be able to track details, collaborate with diverse staff, facilitate meetings, write and review documents, communicate clearly, exercise independent judgment and strategic thinking, take initiative, make informed decisions within defined guidelines, and deliver completed tasks on schedule. In addition to serving as a strategic partner to the DED of Portfolio Management & Integrity, the position is required to embody the agency values, incorporate principles of equity and inclusion, and serve as a change management champion. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The following duties are a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties. *Responsibilities specific to the realignment implementation (near-term work: *Integrate the realignment work plan with the cost savings work plan *Project manage the work plan to ensure completion of tasks by responsible departments and single points of accountability. *Coordinate with accountable and responsible parties for each action (primarily Finance, GCR, PEPD, DECM, and Project Controls). *Other work could include: *Serving as lead staffer or implementer for special projects for the Portfolio Management & Integrity division. *Researching subjects and developing recommendation for the DED of Portfolio Management & Integrity. *Collaborating regularly with staff around the agency. *Writing and revising reports, summaries, presentations, and talking points. *General functions: *Manages competing priorities with a detail-oriented, organized approach. *Demonstrates Sound Transit’s Values in every interaction. *Follows the agency safety rules, regulations, and procedures pertaining to their assigned duties and responsibilities, which could include systems, operations, and/or other employees. *Integrates sustainability into everyday business practices. *Champions and models Sound Transit's core values and demonstrates values-based behaviors in everyday interactions across the agency. *Contributes to a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion in alignment with Sound Transit’s Equity & Inclusion Policy. *It is the responsibility of all employees to follow the Agency safety rules, regulations, and procedures pertaining to their assigned duties and responsibilities, which could include systems, operations, and/or other employees. *It is the responsibility of all employees to integrate sustainability into everyday business practices. *Other duties as assigned.
