The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Training and Certification team is seeking a driven, talented, creative, and experienced Program Manager to collaboratively implement global, world class, multi-level AWS STEM education programs to address the ever-increasing demand for cloud IT professionals.As a Program Manager in the AWS Education Programs team, with your passion for diversity, equity, and intentional inclusion of underrepresented students in STEM, you will help implement and scale a cloud skills program for learners ages 13-18. This program will address and reinforce essential problem-solving skills, computer science principles, cloud knowledge and professional dispositions for future STEM careers. You will help develop direct instruction, virtual learning, teacher professional development, community outreach, relevant scenario-based projects, and a commitment to rigor in developing and honing cloud IT skills. In this role, you will need to be an excellent communicator and be able to work well with internal and external stakeholders, school system leaders, teachers, and students.Roles and Responsibilities:* Significantly contribute to STEM and cloud IT program expansion* Operationalize the design of a customer-facing educational program for the US education system* Develop and nurture relationships with educational systems, teachers, and students* Partner with internal and external stakeholders on bringing rigorous, integrated, and relevant programs for K-12* Embody Amazon's Leadership Principles in all areas of curricular design and program development* Attend to the unique learning needs of students not currently on track to become cloud IT professionalsPlease note this role will require up to 25% travel.This role can be performed near any US AWS office in the following cities: Arlington, Atlanta, Austin, Ballston, Boston, Chicago, Cupertino, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, East Palo Alto, Herndon, Houston, Irvine, Minneapolis, New York City, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington D.C., Tempe, Sunnyvale, or Santa Monica.The pay range for this position in Colorado is $74,200 - $129,800/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
