POSITION PURPOSE Lead and participate in all service aspects of Service for the Starbucks Truck, the position serves as the lead for service and is responsible for ensuring the vehicle itself is maintained and used in accordance with departmental standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service Orientation: • Delivers Starbucks’ branded customer service by consistently evaluating the environment for cues. • Delivers prompt service and quality beverages and products. • Engages and educates customers about coffee-related topics.

Operations: • Lead full time and student employees. Instruct, assign and check the work of employees in food and beverage preparation in accordance with Starbucks Brand Standards. • Review daily operations and unit pars with unit manager as needed. • Maintains Starbucks Daily Ops Leader certification. • Gather supplies and food items in accordance with established pars. • Train all aspects of food service to student staff. • Provide professional customer service in all client and guest interaction. • Provide leadership in accordance with department and University policies and procedures serving as an example for the student team to follow. • Operate and re-fuel large food trucks according to University policy, including daily maintenance of clean and grey water tanks. Reports any equipment failures or service indicator lights immediately to unit management. • Operate motorized equipment, including pallet jacks, freight elevators and truck lift gates. • Maintain a clean, clear and unobstructed work area. • Take inventory counts using tally sheets from CBORD FSS system.

Cleanliness and Safety • Follows Starbucks guidelines for maintenance of cleanliness and sanitation standards. • Closes down and and participates in the cleaning of the store and setting up the facility for the next shift. • Inspects food service equipment to determine proper care, use and operation; reports malfunctions. • Reports operational and safety problems to store leadership promptly.

Additional Duties • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. • Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card and Class 12 Liquor License (only if required for catering position) within two weeks of employment, one year of related experience in catering or dining and customer service, AND Possession of Washington State Driver’s License.

Additional Position Requirements: References that can verify: • Success in interpreting instructions and communications written in English • History of safe operation of small trucks and delivery vehicles • Success in working in environments where there is continuous interaction with guests and staff throughout the work shift • Success executing off-site events • Punctuality and satisfactory attendance

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Ability to use the Internet, email, and Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Familiarity with basic computer skills.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT • Possession of a Washington State Driver’s License • A satisfactory outcome from the employment verification and reference check processes. • A Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment and maintain thereafter.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. This position will have a variable schedule and will often be working later shifts to support special events, nights and weekends.
