Staff Salesforce Developer is responsible for all technical aspects for large complex projects. Staff Salesforce Developer may lead or coordinate activities of other personnel as necessary.Essential FunctionsTranslate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the platformLead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions that are aligned with client business objectivesManage the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of a implementationDevelop custom solutions and interfaces leveraging the platformManage technical scopes and client expectationsProvide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to Salesforce developersDemonstrate technical thought leadershipConduct code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure that code quality is at the highest level possible and appropriate design patterns are being usedBe a credible subject matter expert to clients and partners on sales cycles and marketing eventsWork in the development environment which includes custom objects, workflows, validation rules, triggers, the IDE, SOSL, SOQL and web servicesApply best practices and design patterns on the platformAdminister, customize and configure Salesforce features including, but not limited to Security, Profiles, Role Hierarchy, Users, Page Layouts, Record Types, Workflows, Reports and Dashboards, Approvals, Object Relationships, Fields, Validation rules, Custom apps, etc.Use Dataloader, DemandTools or equivalent data management tools to audit, identify and resolve data integrity issuesProvide detailed estimatesCoach and mentor junior technical resources; own responsibility for ongoing technical development of technical resources on Salesforce projectsInterview potential candidates as needed and as time permitsDrive profound change and provide leadershipJob SpecificationsTypically has the following skills or abilities:Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in related field; or related experienceMinimum 12 years of IT development experience; 6 years of Salesforce development experienceProven ability to design and optimize business processes and integrate business processes across disparate systemsExpert understanding of the product suite including Salesforce 1, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Platform and the App ExchangeExperience in developing Apex classes, Triggers, Visualforce pages, and API integrationProficient with declarative development tools such as workflow rules and field updates, approval processes, escalation and assignment rules, process builder and visual flowExperience with SOAP and REST APIs, Bulk API and Metadata APIStrong awareness of programmatic solutions on the Salesforce platform including Apex and VisualForceUnderstanding of the data loader for data migration activities in Salesforce.comStrong background in design and development of enterprise systems as part of a complete software product
