We are offering an opportunity to join our team in the healthcare industry based in Seattle, Washington, United States. The role is focused on the functions of a Staff Accountant, with a particular emphasis on handling accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and other month-end close activities. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process monthly reports, including accounts receivable reports and bank reconciliation of specific accounts

• Assist with premium billing, working collaboratively with vendors to ensure smooth operation of invoicing processes

• Calculate broker commissions due each month

• Provide consistent support to the customer service team, such as researching customer payment statuses

• Utilize Microsoft Access Queries and Excel Formulas to manage data and generate reports

• Manage journal entries as part of month-end close activities

• Maintain a high level of accuracy in accounts payable and receivable activities

Requirements • Applicant must possess skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations is required

• Candidate should be adept at managing the General Ledger

• Expertise in making Journal Entries is a must

• Experience in Month End Close and Month-end Close Activities is necessary

• Proficiency in Excel Formulas is essential for the role

• Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Access Queries is required

• The candidate must have prior experience in the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry

• Experience in the role of a Staff Accountant is necessary.
