A Senior Engineer 1 is part of a key team of Nordstrom Technology professionals that applies

We are looking for an individual to support Telecommunications systems and ensure service level expectations are met. The ideal Senior Contact Center Voice Engineer is experienced, results oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day.

A day in the life...

  • Support and enhance Contact Center solutions based on platforms from Avaya and others

  • Ensure high availability of 24X7 production systems

  • Participate in on-call rotation

  • Support the deployment of Contact Center technology and infrastructure for contact center locations

  • Analyze and resolve complex service issues

  • Provide on-site consulting services to the enterprise, including support for short- and long-term projects

  • Integration of contact center applications and existing network and hardware infrastructure

You own this if you have...

  • 6+ years’ experience with IP Telephony and Contact Center Application technical support

  • Expertise with AVAYA Aura System, Communication Manager, and Session Manager including vector scripting and Avaya One-X Agent client support

  • Skilled at integrating other ancillary voice products, such as Verint Witness recording platforms, Aspect WFM, Avaya AES, and E911 platforms

  • Strong knowledge of networking principles and understanding of SIP, H.323, TCP/IP, IP VLANs, Ethernet, Routing, Switching, DHCP, DNS and QoS

  • CCNA and ITIL framework are a plus

  • Avaya Certifications are a plus

  • Highly analytical; ability to research questions and review facts to make accurate decisions

  • Ability and willingness to participate in on-call rotation to monitor systems for expected performance and respond to errors and emergency problems

  • Ability to work independently
