We build highly sophisticated automatic mechanisms to detect and prevent prohibited transactions with the "denied parties" using a diverse set of advanced algorithms and machine learning techniques. We screen multi-billion events every day and deal with unique scaling and TPS challenges. We are still Day 1 and have an exciting road map to build Machine Learning (ML) powered detection and resolution systems to help scale Amazon for years to come.

We’re looking for a talented and passionate UX Designer to help design the future of Sanctions Screening at Amazon that would inspire customers and enterprises across the globe.

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years of design experience

• Have an available online portfolio

• Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

• 5+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

• Experience with UX design of complex workflows

• Knowledge of usability principles and techniques

• Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
