We're seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional programs that enhance value for Prime members through technical innovation and strategic partnerships. In this role, you will partner with product and engineering teams across the company to deliver extensible technical capabilities that support novel membership solutions for Prime members worldwide. You will establish strategic partnerships with Amazon business units and third party providers to innovate new benefits for Prime members. You will architect new solutions that allow Prime members to personalize their Amazon experiences while sharing Prime benefits with their families. In this role, you will exercise direct influence on the technical and strategic direction of multiple Amazon business units to deliver unmatched value for Prime members.
The right candidate for this role has a proven track record of delivering technical programs that address complex opportunities and challenges. You are an excellent written and oral communicator who can articulate complicated topics in simple language and influence a diverse group of senior leader stakeholders. You bring structure to ambiguity and uncertainty. You are able to effectively understand customer and product needs, and translate those needs into technical architectures. You maintain healthy relationships with partners and stakeholders in locations around the world. You are capable of diving deep to solve customer problems and zooming out to look for patterns across programs. This role provides the right candidate a winning combination of the full breadth of Prime, with the depth required to solve Prime’s toughest problems.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5+ years of technical product or program management experience
3+ years of software development experience
5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
