You will have the opportunity to work closely with our AWS partners and field teams in determining their technical and business needs, and maintain a bird's eye view over team deliverables. You will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of our internal initiatives and programs, driving innovation that redefines the AWS partner and customer experience. You should have a demonstrated ability to define the program (mission, vision, tenets), set objectives, analyze data, drive quantifiable improvements, and influence resource allocation.

This position can be based remotely in Seattle, Jersey City, New York, DC/Arlington, Austin, Denver, or anywhere else where we have a major AWS presence.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the effective and efficient delivery of large, complex technical programs and the associated projects.

  • Drive effective cross-functional teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitments across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.

  • Manage overall initiative and program lifecycles, including timelines, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder communication, to ensure successful execution.

  • Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs with technical constraints.

  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues, and risks at multiple levels.

  • Create, maintain, and disseminate program information to stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with Solutions Architects and other stakeholders to identify gaps, prioritize enhancements for the team initiatives and programs.

  • Proven experience in technical program management, preferably in a cloud computing or software development environment.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams.

About the team

The Products & Services team is a collection of domain strategists and technical experts who align products, services, and partners to deliver game-changing solutions that drive highly differentiated industry outcomes. They act as a knowledge and innovation hub, developing worldwide partner strategies, identifying growth opportunities, and translating them into specialized programs, sales plays, and innovative scale mechanisms that enable partners to build, market, and sell with AWS services integrated into their offerings. The team collaborates closely with AWS Service teams and WWSO, leveraging their expertise to develop initiatives in domains or services like GenAI and Amazon Q. We identify strategic growth opportunities in our domains and translate them into APO Specializations programs, sales plays, signature benefits and innovative scale mechanisms that enable Partners of all types (G/SI, ISV) to build, market and sell with AWS services integrated into their offerings.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • 5+ years experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
