Amazon Sr. Technical Program Manager, Customer Trust in Seattle, Washington

This role will work with multiple teams in Advertising.

You will be responsible for collecting business and system requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, identifying critical paths, mapping system dependencies, establishing and driving project plans from design to release, and managing production launches. You will be a catalyst for effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple geographically separated groups delivering jointly on highly-visible mission-critical systems.

You will contribute to our success with your hands-on project management skills, deep technical expertise, good understanding of business, and excellent leadership skills.

About you: You are a seasoned technical program manager/engineer looking for a career where you will be able to lead initiatives across numerous teams at Amazon, both within Ad Products, and beyond. Your focus will be to help teams design their systems and customer experiences in a manner that upholds our high bar for customer trust. You are able to quickly grasp system design, data flows and other technical aspects of a service. You also enjoy learning and contributing to aspects about the business, legal, or marketing side of a product. You are an excellent translator between various part of the business and the technical teams you work with. Above all, you feel strongly about protecting customers.

Key job responsibilities

Responsible for the end-to-end project management functions of large programs including planning, risk and issue management, trade-offs and execution.

Develop critical paths and system dependency maps

Effectively cooperate with customers, technical staff and leaders, business leaders and executives to define and deliver complex features.

Thrive in ambiguity, define and plan programs in a fast paced and highly-technical organization, and secure buy in from internal and external stakeholders.

Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders.

Partner as a technical liaison between customers and engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with information security, privacy, regulatory, or compliance technical program execution

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design

  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
