The Creative Building team is part of a newly formed, VP-led organization named CreativeX, which sits within Amazon Advertising. Its mission is to democratize access to high-quality creatives.

Key job responsibilities

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager on this team, you will lead the technical planning, coordination, architecture, and implementation of multiple programs across Creative Building. You will manage the lifecycle (architecture, design, implementation, documentation and measurement) of software teams that are delivering for the programs you manage. You will work alongside Creatives, Designers, Program Managers, Product Managers, and engineers. You will collaborate with teams across Amazon on the planning and execution of complex and highly-technical projects with high impact and visibility.

A day in the life

1) Drive cross-functional planning, leading discovery and prioritization by closely partnering with product managers and engineering leads to develop program plans that include roadmaps, dependency identifications, and resourcing plans

2) Ascertain the true requirements underlying feature requests; recommend alternative technical approaches and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines

3) Communicate clearly and effectively to executive management on plans, status, and critical issues

4) Partner as a technical liaison between product and engineering teams

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
