Job summaryThe AWS Service Demand Planning Team helps AWS service teams plan, execute, manage, and translate product plans into operational scaling plans, ensuring every customer has the capacity they need when they need it. You will have ownership, not just responsibility, and you will have a strong sense of accomplishment as you enable AWS growth.What You Will Do:You will own forecasting and demand planning for the specific AWS product or service you support. You will own translating customer requirements into a full production schedule for AWS infrastructure teams.You will work in a fast-paced environment, taking on a variety of roles and working with teams to define their priorities.You will lead and execute strategic business and process improvement initiatives, work across various stakeholders and cross-functional teams, and define measures of success for these initiatives (i.e., customer facing KPI's).You will communicate and explain end-to-end supply chains (inputs, outputs, rationale, gaps) and recommendations to senior management. This will be through preparing and presenting detailed, data-driven business reviews and proposals.You will focus on finding ways to enable our customers, stakeholders, and partners to solve problems at scale by proposing and new ways to streamline, optimize, and improve systems and processes.You bring a unique combination of technical, analytical, and business skills; bridging these together to drive scalable and efficient solutions.You have experience diving into deep technical discussions, highlighting complex trade-offs and using data to support your recommendations.You are willing to "get your hands dirty" in a start-up environment to act as change agent and create new applications, tools, processes, and reports as needed.You bring extensive experience in defining products and programs, effectively communicate strategic initiatives to business leaders, and are able to work with a variety of engineering teams spanning multiple organizations throughout AWS.You look around corners and are proactive in identifying areas of risk to customers, inventing new ways to measure the health of the business, and insist on the high standards when holding others accountable to deliver.Keys to success in this role include exceptional analytical skills, good judgment, and excellent communication skills.
