Amazon Sr. Technical Program Manager, Advertising in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Hercules Big Data team in Amazon Advertising is looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager who will own the management and execution of our Big Data platform and multiple data offerings — tools and products that enable sales and science teams to better understand, engage with, and improve the experience of advertisers. You will work with business and technology teams to develop scalable and innovative solutions that store petabytes of data, ingested from both batch and streaming sources, into data structures and technologies relevant for making daily sales, product, and financial decisions, and expose it using tools that drive insights and actions. We’re a fast-growing team with a very high focus from business to grow, so there are lots of opportunities. No chance of getting bored here.

Key job responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be 100% focused on our business, understanding the needs and requirements, plus anticipating future trends that will serve their needs. You will also be excellent at driving results, being able to coordinate large, multi-functional projects on-time, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints. You are involved in defining or reviewing the systems-level technical design of your projects and balance near term business need with long term implications for Amazon. You rationalize technical requirements and business priorities in cross-functional teams. You manage cross-functional communication to ensure all business and technical stakeholder’s needs are aligned.

A Senior Technical Program Manager (Sr. TPM) will partner with engineers, other TPMs, Product Managers and senior management to help create world-class solutions. We're looking for people who are passionate about innovating on behalf of customers, demonstrate a high degree of product ownership, and want to have fun while they make history. The ideal TPM is a creative, demonstrated leader with superior analytical abilities and an expeditious drive to deliver results.
