Our Global Ad Sales (Sales) organization directly engages with tens of thousands of advertisers and agencies globally, and the Sales Enablement & Insights (SE&I) org within it supports thousands of account executives and account managers in dozens of countries.

This role will sit in the Actions, Insights, and Recommendation Solutions (AIRS) team within SE&I. AIRS builds technical solutions that empower account teams (Sales) to invent on behalf of our Advertiser. Examples of these technical solutions include insights and recommendations for account teams as they support the largest advertisers and partners, productivity tools and workflows, and AI/ML services that improve the sales motions.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to join the Campaigns & Optimizations Expansion team within AIRS. This role will be the single-threaded owner of the work to expand account team workflows to enable teams to sell and optimize Amazon DSP campaigns of advertisers and agencies. Through Amazon DSP, advertisers can programmatically reach their audiences through display, video and audio ads that run both on Amazon properties (e.g. Twitch, Freevee, IMDB), services (e.g. Prime Video) and devices (e.g. Fire TV, Fire tablet, Echo Show), as well as through publishing partners and third-party exchanges. In this role, you will work cross-functionally across Product and Technology teams within SE&I, Ad Products & Technology, and Ad Sales to define strategy and requirements, and then lead projects through technical design and delivery. You will engage with senior product and engineering leaders to define and drive the execution of roadmaps, plan for dependencies, and secure resources to ensure the meeting of agreed upon deliverables and timelines. You will define processes that improve teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.

The ideal candidate will have experience defining projects and features, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating large cross-functional projects and schedules, and delivering complex projects with measurable results at high scale. He/she will have strong project management skills and excel at relationship building. He/she can complete high volume tasks and projects quickly, and have great attention to detail and organization skills.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead multiple, complex cross-functional initiatives simultaneously from initiation through delivery. Involves anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management and communicating status broadly across all levels

• Make trade-offs while balancing the business needs with technical constraints

• Work closely with product and engineering teams to define near term and long-term product roadmap

• Create mechanisms to drive timely, accurate, and comprehensive project execution. Create clarity, eliminate obstacles and drive issue resolution to ensure deliverables & timelines are met. Drive continuous improvement efforts to ensure delivery mechanisms get better over time

• Serve as a trusted advisor to product and engineering teams

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design

  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
