ZT Group Int'l, Inc. dba ZT Systems seeks Sr. Staff Systems Architect in Seattle, WA.

 

Duties: Develops long-term hyperscale server technology strategies based on technical and business footprint of the customer. Drives internal and external integration of system level engineering strategy. Develops long-term technical relationships with the core technology ecosystem. The relationships should create a technical interface, driving customer requirements into next generation designs. Identifies and develops differentiation opportunities and drives thought leadership discussions among engineering, customers, business, and management. Works directly with customers on concept and development of custom hyperscale server and rack designs. Determines how to solve performance/operational problems and deliver business value through ZT hardware.

 

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus 8 years of direct industry experience as

a Design Engineer, Hardware Engineer, Systems Architect, Electrical Engineer, or related role.

 

Must have 8 years of experience in each of the following skills:

  • High-speed signal design; signal integrity issues; power distribution techniques; and x86 or ARM or GPU (graphics processing unit) platform architectures.
  • Implementation of high-speed serial busses such as one or more of the following Fabrics: SAS (Serial Attach SCSI), SATA (Serial AT Attachment), PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express), InfiniBand, Fibre Channel, Ethernet, etc.
  • Implementation of high-speed Memory Busses such as one or more of the following: DDR4, DDR5, or HBM.
  • Implementation of Processor/Accelerator Cache Coherent Links such as one or more of the following: CCIX, GenZ, CXL.
  • Server architecture, system level design engineering, and server management infrastructures.
  • Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) functionality, telemetry, and range of control.
  • New product development life cycle, which includes driving cross-functional development efforts from concept to planning to development.
  • Creating detailed architecture specifications and drive business cases for new products and features.
  • Networking technologies including Ethernet or InfiniBand and the equipment that's used to support these technologies including Network Cards, Network Cables, or Network Switches.
