Description: As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will help to lead investigations to determine the root cause of issues at Blue Origin in the Causal Analysis program. You must have a passion for solving complex problems and providing operable solutions; act with minimal direction and on your own initiative; and be adaptable as you will work on a variety of applications and systems. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Responsibilities: Work with teams to implement and maintain a robust Causal Analysis program that provides appropriate flexibility for innovation in research, development, and production environments. Facilitate troubleshooting of quality, process, and system-level issues by engaging cross-functional teams and leading causal analysis activities to determine root cause and appropriate corrective and preventive action. Ensure appropriate cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented. Perform and/or support complex cause analyses Measure, analyze, and improve Causal Analysis system performance consistent with organization quality goals. Maintain company Causal Analysis processes and related documentation Develop, adapt, and present training materials for facilitators of Causal Analysis efforts. Help develop and track corrective action metrics and support completion of key corrective actions from Root Cause Analysis. Coach, mentor and train individuals facilitating causal analysis efforts. Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques; provide on-going reports of program performance. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns for complex data sets. Work with business unit and senior management toprioritizebusiness and information needs. Qualifications: Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or science 12+ years' industry experience in the engineering field with Causal Analysis experience Expertise in Causal Analysis tools, including cause & effect diagrams, Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA), 5-why, fault tree analysis, etc. Stronganalyticaland communication skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification Experience with Error Prevention and Human Performance tools, initiatives and programs Project management experience Compensation range for on site WA applicants is $126,201-$176,681 Other site ranges may differ Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the requisition is closed.
