Job summaryAmazon's Transportation Risk & Compliance team identifies and mitigates risk in a rapidly growing and complex, global environment. To support the business, our primary mission is to perform independent and objective, risk-based assessments of Amazon business partners' activities and related controls with the goal of improving operations, compliance, risk management and overall success of the program.To that end, Amazon is seeking a high-performing Sr. Risk Manager with a penchant for process improvement, communication and boots on the ground roll up your sleeves success.As an Sr. Risk Manager you will manage your audit pipeline, engage with Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) and plan, scope, execute and report on the audit outcomes. You will also work with each DSP to assess their remediation and closure of identified issues.You will provide consultative support to DSPs to identify opportunities for control improvements, their overall compliance level and develop mitigating and improvement plans. You will also work with business, legal, and technologies teams to remediate gaps and oversee the build-out of sustainable and systematic solutions. You will need to be flexible to work occasionally on weekends and/or evenings. You will work effectively in a team environment and as an individual contributor, be able to work remotely and effectively supervise work of remote resources.Additionally, this role will work closely with Amazon Logistics and Transportation businesses, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and HR teams to implement world-class customer-centric compliance & risk management tools and processes.You must have the ability to travel 20% of the time.* A BA or BS in Business, Economics, Operations, Finance, Law, IT or applicable field/experience.* 5+ years of audit experience related to business processes, risk mitigation, program compliance, regulatory compliance, internal audit or other control and assurance function.* Experience and ability to supervise, coach and review work of others.* Demonstrated ability to develop plans for crisis events or compliance violations.* Demonstrated aptitude to manage projects from inception through completion.* Ability to verbally and in writing communicate coherently and concisely with Senior Management.* Demonstrated ability to synthesize risk with audit and compliance testing.* Possesses a clear understanding of program management best practices.* Ability to persuade and influence internal and external stakeholders.* Able to manage internal and external conflict to reach correct compliance solutions.* Ability to identify control gaps, create and implement procedures to mitigate related risks.* Continuous improvement background (i.e. 6-sigma, ISO, Total Quality, etc.).* Ability to oversee new hire and employee onboarding and compliance training.* Excellent communication skills.* CPA, CISA, CIA, CFE, CCEP, PMP, certification is a plus.The pay range for this position in Colorado is $98,700 -160,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
