Description

The Senior Risk Manager plays a crucial role in driving the organization's risk management initiatives and ensuring compliance across global function. This individual will champion the adoption of new tools and programs that fortify the organization compliance efforts. They will leverage their influence to shape behaviors, spearhead projects in collaboration with legal, business partners, Product and Science team, and foster cross-functional team commitment to upholding Amazon's quality standards and maintaining strict compliance in RISC organization.

A key responsibility of the Senior Risk Manager is to meticulously monitor and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly risk metrics, providing comprehensive reports to onsite management teams and corporate reporting systems. This individual will ensure unwavering adherence to all corporate compliance program expectations and applicable federal and state laws. They will conduct comprehensive risk assessments on existing processes and new product assortments, identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies to the corporate compliance team. These recommendations may encompass process improvements, training enhancements, and other measures to effectively manage and mitigate identified risks

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

  • Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent

  • Master's degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
