Job Description

Position : Sr Project Manager (Forestry Industry)

Type : Contingent

Duration : 3+ Month (likely to extend long term)

Location: Seattle, WA

Travel: Up to10%


One of our clients lines of business is going through a transformational program called Connected Forest. There is a ton of work that will come out of this program and will likely need resources beyond this initial PM role. This is a very visible project that has many touch points throughout the company, as it involves enhancing their supply chain. It entails 4 sub projects covering: planting, forecasting, harvesting, and logistics of delivering logs to a their mills--covering the full lifecycle of a tree. Prior Forestry experience is NOT required. Soft skills is huge part of this role and will be asked to demonstrate upon consideration.


  • Handling ambiguity

  • Drive/managing things on their own - driving to deadlines

  • Teamwork/working well with others

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Staying calm under pressure

  • Ability to demonstrate Full Life Cycle PM experience on large projects.


  • Managed and delivered large/ complex IT projects preferred

  • Experience with PDLC preferred

  • Experienced with gate/phase process(aka stage/gate, more so Waterfall) preferred

  • Thoughtful and process oriented (new program, so a lot of new process. Need help building out new/ enhancing existing and then own them going forward, i.e. communication plan, statusing, tracking , reporting)

  • Very well organized, consistent and detail oriented

  • Willing to manage many of the Programs administrative duties

  • Build/ maintain office 365 group (site, SharePoint, status forms, etc.)

  • Schedule/ run meetings and produce and distribute meeting minutes

  • Ensure projects are keeping up with duties set forth by the Program (financials, statusing)

  • Ability to serve analyst functions surrounding process, requirements gathering, etc.

  • Good/ engaging communication skills, both verbal and written (has ability to interact with our leader partners)

  • Location between Columbia Falls, MT and Seattle. Either way, some light travel will be involved
