Description
Are you interested in leveraging your program management skills to join a dynamic team responsible for improving public perception of selling in Amazon’s store? We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial, high-judgment, results-oriented, and inventive Sr. Program Manager for a dynamic role that will own strategy and execution of initiatives that ensures that public perception mirrors the reality that Amazon’s store a great place for our Selling Partners to build and maintain thriving businesses. This includes working closely with partner teams such as Public Policy, Public Relations, Finance, Creative, and more, to develop initiatives and mechanisms that supports coordinated workstreams.
This role will have a high degree of ownership, driving external marquee annual reports that drives thought leadership and explains how Amazon supports our Selling Partners. The ideal candidate thinks strategically, takes initiative and, is highly detail oriented. They can develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives but also roll up their sleeves, dig in and get the job done. Maturity, strong business judgment, ability to earn trust and influence cross-functional teams, a customer-centric and creative mindset and strong analytical skills are essential. The candidate for this position also embraces ambiguity, ramps quickly on complex issues, and is skilled at communicating complex issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of internal and external audiences.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop and coordinate the creation of marquee external reports including strategic, underlying data, creative, tactical elements.
• Understand how to find and synthesize data and research to create compelling narratives and business insights in support of key storylines.
• Understand customer (internal and external) needs, defining clear project plans and executing to high expectations in a fast-paced environment.
• Interact and influence stakeholders at multiple levels and in multiple regions, and working with business, Public Policy, Public Relations, marketing, tech, legal, IR, analytics, finance, and executive teams to define and deliver solutions with an ability to bring consensus, without sacrificing quality.
• Create mechanisms for housing key data, and keeping it updated and refreshed.
• Develop and track key metrics and report program learnings and effectiveness to internal stakeholders
• Manage creative agency relationships and coordination with internal stakeholders.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, anticipating and making tradeoffs, and balancing business needs versus technical or operational constraints.
• Manage review and alignment with executive leadership.
About the team
The Selling Partner Empowerment, Communities, & Trust (SPECT) organization builds lasting connections with, and helps drive the success of our Selling Partners. An important part of this charter is understanding our impact on and opportunities to improve public perception that Amazon is good for our Selling Partner’s businesses. The Seller External Relations team within SPECT is responsible ensuring that external perception mirrors the reality that Amazon’s stores are a great place for third-party sellers to build and maintain thriving businesses
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
5+ years of data analysis experience
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience synthesizing data and research to create compelling narratives, business insights, and key storylines
Experience presenting effectively to senior executives
Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery
Experience directly managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
