Job summaryThe right candidate will possess a strong product management background, have experience leading medium to large products and projects, and excel at written and verbal communications. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means anticipating bottlenecks, making tradeoffs and balancing the needs of the business versus technical constraints. You will be expected to have strong opinions about design and user experience, as well as the analytic background necessary to track adoption and performance of the product features you build. You will be able to lead a program at scale, and participate/influence other senior leaders across the company future direction-setting. You will own the roadmap and are responsible for executing on it. You set the product strategy, define use cases, analyze potential customer and financial implications, and ultimately choose the most promising path for your strategy.Additionally, you will work closely with a dedicated team of user experience designers, user researchers, product managers, data scientists, tech, and marketers to develop personalization strategies, conduct experiments, use the insights from experiments and research to build seller experiences, and define success metrics and performance tracking methods for product/feature launches.Key job responsibilitiesDevelop the personalization vision, framework and tenets and 3-yr roadmapPartner with data science, design, engineering, and marketing to develop a framework for personalization experience development, test personalization approaches/concepts, and evaluate their outcomesWork with relevant teams to build a measurement framework encompassing seller satisfaction, product, tech and business metricsDevelop partnership with to incorporate behavioral and ML sciences into personalization experiencesPartner cross-functionally to define the personalization roadmaps and schedulesTranslate the insights from seller feedback and actions into product features, designs, and technical requirementsPrioritize the product feature build out and work cross-functionally to build and enhance personalization featuresMaking smart tradeoffs, coordinate dependencies, and maintain communication throughout the organization to guarantee smooth and efficient product deliveryProvide effective written and verbal updates on the products and key projects to senior leadership and stakeholders5+ years of relevant work experienceBachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceExperience owning roadmap strategy and definitionExperience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a productExperience working closely with data scientists, designers, engineers, and researchers to build customer experiencesExperience leading discussions and suggesting trade-offs around technology decisions and strategies related to productExperience with feature development and tradeoffs in building/delivering products7+ years of experience in technical product or program managementMaster's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MBA, or related fieldExperience with design and development of personalization strategies to drive user engagementExperience with leveraging behavioral and ML sciences to build customer experienceSuperior verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical and be able to create sound business arguments backed up by dataPassionate about generating big, creative ideas to differentiate in the marketExperience with agile methodologiesAttention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilitiesDemonstrated ability and willingness to operate autonomously, navigate ambiguities, roll up sleeves and execute to get the job done; general manager / owner mentalityExperience working with remote
