Job Information

Amazon Sr Product Manager - Technical, Salesforce Success Central (SFSC) in Seattle, Washington

Description

Are you interested in building tools that drive cultural changes across AWS and Amazon? Do you love working with a diverse set of customers and engineers? Are you excited about handling a lot of ambiguity? Do you want to make new tools that make it easy for builders to secure third-party applications? Are you excited by solving problems that no other company has solved?

Salesforce Success Central (SFSC) delivers products and solutions that improve the return on investment in our Salesforce deployments, deliver products that make running Salesforce at Amazon scale easier, and improve overall governance and security by removing the “muck” from operating Salesforce at Amazon scale. The Security Enablement Team, within SFSC, is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Product Manager to lead and build products that monitor the entire Amazon fleet of Salesforce deployments and deliver user experiences that help service owners improve their operational maturity. You will own the vision, strategy, product execution, launch, and continuous improvement of security enablement products. You will partner with software engineers, security engineers, and enterprise security to develop innovative technologies that engage Salesforce owners throughout Amazon. With a customer first approach to product delivery, we enable service owners to improve the maturity of their operations.

We have a team culture that encourages innovation where team members and management alike have a high degree of ownership for their vision and execution of ideas. Beyond a deep technical background and proven track record of product management, a successful candidate will have experience driving strategy and influencing executive leadership. We are looking for someone that is a self-starter, someone that approaches complex business questions with data and curiosity, and a person that dives below the surface to identify the root cause and "so what" rather than just superficial trends.

Key job responsibilities

  • For a large technology product or suite of product, you oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualization and development to launch and post-launch optimization

  • You define the 3-5 year strategic vision and drive teams to execute on that vision.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product performance and drive continuous improvement

  • Develop and communicate a clear product roadmap, considering stakeholder demands, customer feedback, and business priorities

  • Engage with key stakeholders to gather insights, feedback, and ensure alignment with business objectives

  • Maintain a customer-centric approach, understanding user needs and incorporating feedback into product development processes

  • You identify and proactively manage areas of business importance related to your product(s): customer value, opportunity, endemic product architecture problems, builder resourcing, and any other large risks.

  • You are able to distinguish between one-way and two-way doors. Your high judgment has led to smart risks and/or innovations with two-way doors.

  • You partner effectively with other leaders involved in the design and development. You are able to influence their roadmap priorities and reach consensus on approach/prioritization.

A day in the life

We have a team culture that encourages diversity and innovation. We expect team members and management alike to take high ownership for their vision and execution of ideas, and to foster a work environment empowering everyone to do the same. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success in this role.
