Job summaryAmazon in the Community (AITC) is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, and innovative Senior Product Manager-Technical to build and scale our in-kind product donation offerings. The role is part of the AITC's Global Products team, which builds solutions to enable charitable product donations and deliveries for community organizations. We apply Amazon's broad set of solutions - from ecommerce to transportation - to fill unmet needs of our local communities and areas impacted by natural disasters.Do you want to reinvent charitable product donations and increase access to thousands of nonprofits, particularly small, local organizations serving communities in need? We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager-Technical to design and drive the product requirements for a self-service nonprofit offering to access product donations. This role will work closely with product and tech teams in Consumer Retail, eCommerce Foundation teams, Financial Systems, and other partner teams - from accounting to tax - to build for the long-term, scalable technical solution for our customers. A successful candidate will be a curious self-starter and problem solver, have strong product management background, works well with and can navigate diverse set of cross-functional teams, deals with ambiguity, and has experience influencing internal stakeholders and evangelizing projects.Key job responsibilities* Closely collaborate with local and international partner teams to drive the product requirements and technical development for the long-term vision. This includes jointly defining product requirements, bringing in the right teams to form a view on potential solutions, driving trade-off decisions, and planning product roadmaps to deliver large or significant features.* Develop and drive the execution of a comprehensive donation selection strategy that works backwards from the needs of nonprofit partners. Balance considerations about product category mix, inventory sourcing, as well as associated financials.* Engage with Retail and Operations teams and roll up your sleeves to kick-start new product selection channels and experiments, while partnering with technical teams to problem solve, and to develop a path to automation over time.* Build and begin tracking success metrics, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative data and leaning into anecdotal feedback.* Effectively communicate status updates (verbal and written), present project priorities, and represent difficult trade-off decisions to leaders up to three levels above to help them understand decisions and paths forward.A day in the lifeYou will be part of a small, diverse global team of product managers responsible for driving AITC's in-kind product and service donations. Your primary customers will be nonprofits and Amazon teams that are trying to make a positive impact on the community.
