The Sr. Product Manager - Tech will be responsible for building foundational subscription solutions that enable Prime to deliver a more unified membership experience across options available to members. From shopping in our stores, to selecting whether to opt-in to an ad-free Prime Video streaming experience, to availing member-exclusive add-on offerings from One Medical, our members have high standards and deserve an integrated membership experience that makes discovering, signing up to, transitioning between, sharing, and managing these offerings seamless.

In this role you will set a north star vision for delivering extensible technical capabilities that unify an increasingly multi-option Prime membership program that delights members worldwide. You will work closely with and influence product and engineering teams across Prime globally and other Amazon business units that provide Prime benefits and exclusive-offerings to deliver technical solutions with excellence. You will drive toward simplification while maintaining a high bar for configurability and extensibility for a global membership program that meets the unique needs of customers in each country.

The right candidate for this role has a proven track record of delivering elegant technical product solutions that address complex opportunities and challenges. You are an excellent written and oral communicator who can articulate complicated topics in simple language and influence a diverse group of senior leader stakeholders. You bring structure to ambiguity and uncertainty. You are able to effectively understand customer needs and translate those needs into technical product solutions. You maintain healthy relationships with partners and stakeholders in locations around the world. You are an analytical, strategic thinker who is able to think big around strategies to keep Prime at the forefront of being the world’s most engaging, satisfying, and loved membership program.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years of end to end product delivery experience

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Experience leading projects collaboratively across multi-disciplinary, cross organizational teams

  • Experience with product cycles of 6+ months

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Proven track record of leading cross-organizational, cross-functional technical product development and holding teams/individuals to timelines/agreed on deliverables without direct reporting authority

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
