Amazon Sr. Product Manager Tech - Creative Technology, XCM in Seattle, Washington

Amazon’s Cross-Category, Cross-Channel Marketing (XCM) team is looking for an experienced Product Manager, Tech to lead development and implementation of cross team tooling specific to content production and media and marketing pipelines. Immediate responsibility of this role will be partnering with internal teams and stakeholders to drive integration of currently in use and in-flight tools, acting as an accelerant to implementation into our content pipeline. This will include owning product vision, driving internal roadmaps and influencing both 1P and 3P partners to build and deliver cohesive, scalable solutions that unify XCM’s creative and media workflows. While immediate duties will focus on in-flight implementations, longer term this role will drive multi-year roadmaps to insure XCM internal technical solves are simplified and elegant, unlocking XCM to efficiently scale its marketing efforts.

A successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering right sized products specific to creative and marketing. A background working in creative and/or media environments is a strong plus as this role will act not just as a product driver but also subject matter expert around content and creative pipelines. Immediate priorities will include integration of digital asset management (DAM) system with internal and external tooling as well roadmapping future tool adoption specific to creative (i.e. GenAI, Design Automation). As this role will work with technical teams while stretching cross org to less tech savvy stakeholders, strong communication is a requirement as is the ability to prioritize and categorize work with a clear vision of how to execute. The ability to work across disciplines and act as the strong voice of your customer as you scope, design, and deliver is a must.

Key job responsibilities

• Work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to identify customer needs, develop and deliver innovative software and infrastructure that promotes efficiency for end users.

• Collaborate with Creative, Media, Content and Software Engineering teams to deliver best-in-class solutions.

• Discover, evaluate, and track global creative and marketing industry trends.

• Identify opportunities to automate workflows across teams.

• Develop long term vision (3 year plan, OP1) for the team.

• Contribute to a team culture of experimentation and innovation

• Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand and improve product capabilities.

• Create & track success metrics to dig deeper on customer feedback to identify key pain points.

• Manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.

• Present confidently to senior management, external clients, and other large audiences.

• Roll up sleeves as necessary to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet our high standards of quality.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree or strong equivalent work experience and examples

  • 5+ years technical product and technology delivery experience

  • Experience implementing and integrating 1P developed solutions and 3P procured SaaS Platforms

  • Experience leading projects across multi-disciplinary teams and owning product roadmaps

  • Experience representing and prioritizing on behalf of your customer

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree specific to IT, science, technology or equivalent

  • Fluent in creative workflows including video production, 2D design, social media, and asset lifecycle best practices.

  • Subject matter expertise specific to creative or media pipelines – ex. Design Automation, DAM, DCO, Creative Technology Systems

  • Understanding of data pipelines specific to marketing as well as metadata schemas and hierarchies.

  • Proven track record of leading cross-organizational, cross-functional technical product development and holding teams and individuals to timelines and agreed upon deliverables without direct reporting authority

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, experience educating non-technical stakeholders and working across multiple teams and regions.

  • Customer obsessed with an ability to work cross teams and gather requirements from a variety of partners including creatives, operations, and internal Amazon IT & AWS partners

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
