We are looking for a Sr. Product Manager - Tech to define and build large scale, next generation Access Management Systems. You will work directly with teams across AWS and Amazon including service teams, subsidiaries, infrastructure, and administrative teams to identify opportunities to make security easier for our customers. You will define the problem(s) we are trying to solve, desired customer experience, vision, tenets, and product strategy. You will own product roadmaps and work with engineering teams on prioritization. You will be a positive influencer across diverse teams, be able to effectively rally support for your products and be able to help deeply technical teams create simple solutions to meet your program goals.

Successful candidates for this position will have strong product management fundamentals, including the ability to prioritize, work backwards from customer needs, and deliver strategic technical features. They must have experience working with engineers, have strong verbal and written communication skills, and a track record of successful delivery.

Key job responsibilities

• Own and drive the working backwards strategy, tenets, long-term goals and documents (press release, FAQ) including customer and market feedback, competitive analysis and business metrics to inform direction.

• Define and execute product plan including customer goals and business requirements for product/feature release, ensuring implementation is aligned with product goals and requirements.

• Build technical solutions and key measurements to track progress against business goals and desired security outcomes

• Partner across teams at AWS to refine your plans and obtain buy-in

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

  • Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time

  • Experience with security and access management products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
