Amazon Sr. Product Manager - Tech, Amazon Consumables Brand Cleanup in Seattle, Washington

We do this by protecting our top brands and ensuring those brand's products are presented accurately and with value to Amazon's online customers. In this role, you will lead the development, improvement, and expansion of Amazon's systems and mechanisms for protecting and ensuring the accuracy of our everyday essentials product offerings. You will make high judgment decisions, present persuasive cases to executive leadership, and have an enduring impact on the future of Amazon's Consumables online shopping experience. You will work closely with a high-energy team consisting of data science, data engineering, business intelligence engineering, and product management, and cross-functionally across many partner teams, including software engineering, user experience, finance, marketing, retail category management, and Amazon leadership. You will lead your teammates and partner teams through high complexity and high ambiguity product development cycles, while building excellent intuition for one-way door decisions. You will have visibility at the highest levels of Amazon's leadership team, and work on our most strategic future initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

Lead the development of the customer obsessed product strategy and vision for a clean brand presentation for everyday essentials products.

Create buy-in for the product/feature/service vision and strategy with technical and leadership teams.

Operate with influence across a wide variety of cross-functional technical and commercial teams.

Oversee multiple programs in various stages of the lifecycle, from conception to development, to launch, expansion, and retirement.

Define creative, high quality, long term product roadmaps based on team strategy and vision.

Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications.

Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance, and operational support load.

Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic and technical goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
