Job Information

Amazon Sr. Product Manager, Prime in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon Prime is a core pillar of Amazon’s consumer businesses and aspires to be the world’s most engaging, satisfying, and loved membership program, that delivers profitable growth by improving the Amazon experience. The program serves over 200 million members across 24 countries, with plans for further expansion.

We have been investing in transformational capabilities that will:

  1. Accelerate Prime’s growth by reaching new customer segments and countries

  2. Strengthen and differentiate the Prime value proposition, for all customers and for key growth segments

  3. Empower every Amazon business to accelerate its growth through Prime

  4. Lead the way and accelerate customers’ adoption of Amazon in new locations and segments.

The Senior Product Manager will play a central role in influencing the strategic direction of Amazon businesses such as Prime Video, Amazon Music, Prime Gaming, Grocery, Health, and others. This role, highly visible at the most senior levels of Amazon (with frequent exposure to Prime leadership), is responsible for identifying unmet customer needs, then determining how to most effectively meet those needs through collaboration with partners across Amazon, with the key objectives of delivering value to customers, driving Prime membership growth, and delivering overall long term free cash flow for Amazon.

The right candidate for this role is a general athlete who is able to, for example, go deep into profitability dynamics unique to the Grocery business on one day, then shift the next day to defining growth strategies for digital businesses such as Prime Video. This leader is an analytical, strategic thinker who is able to think big around strategies to keep Prime at the forefront of being the world’s most engaging, satisfying, and loved membership program. He or she is also able to support those ideas with detailed analysis and make actionable recommendations that will influence operating plans and major strategic investments across Prime and Amazon.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record in strategy consulting and/or product strategy, is customer obsessed and passionate about innovating on behalf of Prime’s customers, thrives in situations where he or she is challenged to solve complex customer and business problems that entail a high degree of ambiguity, and is energized by playing a central role in defining the future of the Prime program. This role provides the right candidate a winning combination of the full breadth of Prime, with the depth required to solve Prime’s toughest problems.
